Bolesian has developed an e-health geofence module for the partnership between the Municipal Health Service (GGD) and the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). This module is part of the app ‘GGD Reist Mee‘ (GGD travels with you), an app developed by 2 Cool Monkeys, a Bolesian partner.
The LUMC prepares students for lifelong innovation and learning. Researchers are inspired and test their findings directly in practice. Patients can be confident that they will be helped according to the most up-to-date state of the art. The LUMC believes in healing but also in prevention. The e-health geofence module also fits in that context. Among other things, the GGD strives to ensure that travelers are well prepared for their journey. The GGD does this by vaccinating and by offering good up-to-date information about the destination region.
An example of the way the GGD informs travelers is the app ‘GGD Reist Mee’. The geofence module developed by Bolesian provides insight into risk of infection as a result of insect bites, for example. The module consists of a collective of intelligent agents who automatically consult information sources of the destination region and analyze relevant data on contamination or infection risks. This data is then presented to the app user as an infection radar. The countries for which data must be searched are Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, East Timor, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
